For this blog post, I shared my magazine with my classmates to get constructive feedback. This helped me understand how others see my work and what changes I should make before my final version. Looking at past students’ magazines also helped me compare my work and see what a more finished product should look like.
Negative Feedback:
Table of Contents background color doesn't match the cover
Too much white space in some areas
Font is too small making it hard to read
Overall design could be more balanced
Positive Feedback:
Eye-catching cover
Variety of poses for the models making it not repetitive
Good organization throughout the magazine
Text is engaging and not boring
The critique process was helpful because it gave me a different perspective on my magazine. When you work on something for a long time, it’s easy to miss small issues. Hearing feedback from others made me notice things I didn’t realize before, especially with my table of contents and overall design choices. It also showed me what parts of my magazine are already strong.
This feedback helped me realize that even though my magazine has strong parts, there are still areas that need improvement. Comparing my work to past students’ magazines showed me that small details, like color matching and spacing, make a big difference in how professional the final product looks. It also reminded me that design is not just about what I like, but also how others experience it.
To improve my magazine, I will change the table of contents background color so it better matches my cover. I will also adjust the layout to reduce empty space and make everything feel more balanced. Additionally, I will increase the font size to make it easier to read. At the same time, I will keep the strong parts of my magazine, like the cover, organization, and variety of poses, since those were already successful.
Overall, the feedback process was very helpful and allowed me to improve my magazine. It showed me both my strengths and weaknesses, and gave me clear ideas on what to fix. By making these changes, I can create a final version that looks more polished, balanced, and professional while still keeping the parts that make my magazine unique.
