Throughout the process of creating my magazine, I learned a lot about design, organization, and how to build a strong overall theme. At the beginning, I didn’t fully know how I wanted everything to look, but as I worked through each part, like the mood board, table of contents, and cover drafts, I started to understand what fit my vision best. I made multiple changes along the way, especially with layout, colors, and fonts, because I wanted everything to feel more mature and less cluttered.
One of the biggest challenges was managing my time. Between school, work, and everything else I have going on, it was difficult to stay consistent. There were times where I had to step back, like during my spring break trip, and then come back later to catch up. Even though that made things harder, it also taught me how to plan better and not rush my work. I realized that taking my time actually helped me create something I was more proud of.
Overall, I am happy with how my magazine turned out. It represents my idea of Ella Poderosa as something that is confident, simple, and meaningful, especially for Hispanic women. I think my style improved a lot from the beginning to the end, and I feel more comfortable with design and content creation now. This project helped me grow not just creatively, but also in how I manage my time and develop my ideas.
